The experience was a nightmare with the owners cousin swearing at the flooring guys so loudly that I had to take my kids out of the house. They did a terrible job on the tile, with huge irregular grout lines, that they then scraped the excess off of after it dries. That put marks on the tiles and they spilled the solvent they used to remove the mars on the newly installed and finished wood floor so that they had to refinish it. The second time they refinished it they did not clean the floor so it was finished with hair stuck in it, necessitating a third round. Today I am having another contractor repair leaking plumbing that lapelusa installed.

They are very honest, and they gave me the impression that they were treating my home like it was their own, which you don't get very often from contractors. We lived in the house during our renovation. Every day, the site was cleaned and we did not have construction trash to deal with. LHI removes everything to a location so you don't have a dumpster or trash to haul curbside. LaPelusa Home Improvements have never fallen short of our expectations. We have had prior work done by them in the last years, along with our current project.
I also want to point out that when Brian came by for the initial bid, we also looked at the front door . He thought we may be in the same shape, but after carefully looking at it, he didn't think we needed to do that work at this time. Explaining the sewer gas smell we had been noticing !! The pipe had no threads, indicating that it had been cut with a saw intentionally. I will never use them again, obviously, and I would never recommend them. Very happy with the quality of their work. The door has an amazing seal, almost air-tight.
